What are some similarities between the French and American revolutions?

What is the single-most important change during the early modern period? Why? Your answer can be broad (changes in government, economic, culture, etc.) or narrow (a specific person, invention, place, or event)

  • Some historians contend that the American Revolution was not very “revolutionary” and argue that it fits in more closely with the Latin American wars for independence in the 1820s, rather than the French and Haitian Revolutions of the late eighteenth century. With what you’ve learned of the French Revolution, and what you know of the American Revolution, answer the following questions:
