Advocacy in Health and Physical Activity

Choose a current important topic in health, physical education, sport, adapted PE, or coaching.

Using one of the technology for advocacy strategies from chapter 13 or information you learned throughout this semester, design an advocacy presentation for that particular topic.

This assignment is worth 25 points, about 8.5% of the final grade, and is due by the end of Week 14.

Your advocacy project should:

  • Address a clear issue in the fields of health, physical education, sport, adapted PE, or coaching
  • Effectively utilize technology such as a virtual newsletter and in fographics, a website, a PowerPoint, or digital video, to address your issue
  • Utilize research, cited appropriately according to APA 7 formatting guidelines
  • Explain the background of the topic, detail your position on the issue, and direct readers or viewers to a resource where they can find out more information about the topic
