  1. Plan a menu for a day for a four year old girl who takes in 1400 calories per day. Include the recommended amounts from each food group.  Take into consideration the number of oils/discretionary calories recommended per day from My Plate Daily Checklist (https://www.myplate.gov/myplate-plan/results/1400-calories-ages-4-8 ).

 

  1. Lindsey, five months old, has been brought to child care as her mother has returned to work. Lindsey was started on cereal mixed with pureed fruit prior to entering child care. Lindsey’s mother pumps her breast milk and delivers it to child care frozen to be thawed and fed to Lindsey as needed.  The infant is now experiencing some diarrhea and apparent abdominal pain.
