Is NBC Ethically Reporting the News?
• With all the misinformation in the US, the role of news media must be examined. Are any news media outlet ethically reporting the news; do their missions and activities aid or hurt the populace? Choose a media outlet—preferably a specific one—and take a stand on their impact or argue for or against them. Research from the FCC (including the Fairness Doctrine), the Society of Professional journalists (and similar groups), public opinion sites, and studies n provide assistance. More than one student can choose this question; however, they must look at two different outlets or types of news.
