Conduct research on a proposed population for outreach. Who are you trying to reach out to and why?

Local Church Missions Project:

submit a paper (5-7 pages) outlining the student’s proposed missions
project for his/her local church. Students must meet the following requirements:
1. Make the case for the need of an effective missions/outreach program in your local church.
How does the Bible support the facilitation of an active and productive missions program in local
churches? Utilize biblical support as well as concepts gleaned from the lectures and textbook
readings.
2. Conduct research on a proposed population for outreach. Who are you trying to reach out to
and why? Provide general information and statistics for this specific population.
3. Identify the sociocultural, political, economic and spiritual dynamics to consider when
attempting to reach out to this specific population. What makes outreach to this specific group
different?
4. Develop a specific plan of outreach to the chosen population by members of your local
church. Who will be joining you? What do you need (pre-planning, finances, materials, people
with specific talents/abilities)? Where and when will it take place? How will you accomplish this
task and what form of follow-up will you utilize?
