We have 13 new corporate client that we need to assign to our 3 new salespeople. Our head of sales has come up with the following estimated sales potential (in $1,000,000s) for each of our new client regions. We want to assign each salesperson to a region such that the sales potential for each person is the same.

Task 5.1

Task 5.2

We are thinking it might make sense for us to group our sales people also geographically to minimize travel. Now provide two more different assignments with the same goal, but now with the following three groupings. Also provide the total estimated revenue for each salesperson.

  • The same salesperson must serve Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming
  • The same salesperson must serve Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa
  • The same salesperson must serve Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma
