Washington has approximately 20 percent of parents with children in the K12 system
living in a household where their primary language is other than English. Multilingual
parents are learning to navigate Washington’s educational system and engage in their
child’s education in the era of distance learning. Therefore, providing multilingual parents
technology devices for use in today’s online learning environments needs careful
consideration and planning.
