Explain why you believe this is a neutral description of the statement you articulated in Step 2.

CLIC 804 1A

This is a report. You will describe the process you went through from the initial description of the
situation to the final General Problem statement. You may use charts and graphs to illustrated your points,
but it is not required. You do need to write a readable, stand-alone report that describes your process
whether or not you use graphics. By “stand-alone” report, I mean that anyone could pick this up, read it
and understand what you are doing and how you are doing it.

The report will integrate course material. (It would be difficult to follow the three steps and not do that.)
Just don’t use the terms, however, explain what you are doing and why. There is no word limit, but
longer is not necessarily better and sometimes it is worse.

The paper must include:
Step 1: A clearly stated starting situation or issue.

Step 2: Zoom out and state your final “General Problem” statement. Describe how you
transitioned from the initial situation to this statement using manuscript Figure 3.3, below. What
kinds of things, for example, did you come up with when you zoomed out? How did you settle on
the General Problem statement you chose?

Step 3: A clearly stated neutral problem statement. Explain why you believe this is a neutral
description of the statement you articulated in Step 2.

As the paper will be readable as a complete stand-alone document, the description of the steps
and their conclusions should be integrated into the flow of the paper. You are not providing me
short answers or bullet points to each step
