• What is the Quality Improvement Project?
• What are your QIP aims? Think SMART! Who are your stakeholders
• How will you involve service users in this QIP
What change is being introduces
What QIP methods will you use, if any?
• What change models will you use to ensure your change is introduced and sustained
What assessments are needed to evaluate the change
Part b: 1500-word critical appraisal
• Introduction (about 200-250 words)
• Confidentiality must be addressed in accordance with professional guidelines
• What is Quality Improvement?
• What is leadership?
• Critically analyse the leadership approach you have used
• Consider your role as a leader in this project (even if you do not think you are specifically a leader in your role).
• Demonstrate your leadership approach to this project and its implementation
• Show specific discussions about leadership, including barriers and enablers to change and how you would work with these.
• Critically discuss how this project and your leadership approach will improve patient care and the service (400 words)
• You must demonstrate the importance of service-user involvement and co-production in health care
• Conclusion (250 words)
• A summary of the arguments/discussions (nothing new should be introduced during your conclusion).
• How will the understanding you have gained influence your practice.
• Relate this back to the NMC code
