Energy Usage – Opinion Piece
Using your knowledge of energy use, write an opinion piece for a local newspaper that outlines your position on an initiative to reduce energy usage. There are many initiatives available to choose from. You may search for and find your own energy reduction initiative, or search for the initiatives listed below:

• Ontario’s Green Button Program
• Smart Grid Fund
Remember, your opinion piece must
• outline your position for or against a specific initiative to reduce energy usage.
• provide at least three (3) facts supporting your clearly developed position.
• contain a brief introduction, body, and conclusion.
