A company’s inconsistencies concerning its pay structure are one of the most frustrating aspects of working for a company, during my time working for one of the larger hospitals in my area that was undergoing reorganization following its acquisition by a larger facility. Under each department, employees were grouped based on their skill set and tenure. When we transferred to the new hospital from the old hospital, it became clear that the employees that had transferred from the old hospital would have a higher salary scale.
