For this paper we will watch a 2018 Frontline documentary
on the ethnic cleansing of Myanmar’s Rohingya Muslims. Given what we have covered in
class, how can we understand the brutal treatment of the Rohingya by the Myanmar
government? When, why, and among whom should we see such violence? You should
explain the psychology of intergroup conflict by drawing on the readings, lectures, and
documentary. While you may use any course material, the most appropriate will be in the
second half of the class.
