Consider the area of focus, “student cheating”, and the associated impacts.
Respond to the following questions within your paper:
- Are programs like Turnitin.com (Plagiarism-Checking Service) that are used for colleges and universities really necessary to identify possible “cheating”
- Why do business students that understand and are taught about ethics and ethical decision-making have to still worry about “student cheating”?
- Do you feel it is acceptable at times to “cheat” on a paper or exam?
- How does “student cheating” relate to organizational issues?
- The Short Paper should be 3–4 pages in length, 12-point font, Times New Roman font, and double-spaced. This page count does not include the title page, tables, graphics, or reference pages. Do not submit an abstract. In addition, submit the final copy as a .DOC or .PDF.
Minimal Requirements for Case Study Responses:
- Identify the key and underlying issues (This is not a simple listing, but more of an in-depth analysis on how these apply to the concepts and theories you have learned within this course)
- Develop the key facts to support the issues (This will require some thought with the expectation that you will only list pertinent data)
- Discuss the solutions to the questions and how to implement this to become more effective (This is an analysis of the problem within the paper; make efforts to support your solutions with references from the textbook, readings, or other sources)
- Demonstrate that you understand the topic and data by linking the theories and concepts highlighted in the textbook with your paper response
