We have shown that at different periods of time race and racism have been more or less influential and presented different types of barriers. Additionally, the effects of race and racism matter in different ways for different racial and ethnic groups. With this in mind, to what degree do race and racism still matter in contemporary politics?
Additionally, what barriers still remain to the full exercise of citizenship for racial and ethnic minorities?
