Take your cultural paper and do the following, each letter A, B, C…should be a paragraph, double-spaced.

  1. What are the laws pertaining to this issue? When and why were these put into place.  (Will usually find on a website)
  2. Which of the laws SHOULD be implemented or SHOULD NOT be implemented and for what reasons (be thorough and argue using multiple resources showing positive and negative effects of these laws).
  3. Find a study that examines one or more the legal or ethical aspects of your issue and summarize in one paragraph. (Cite).
  4. State why the author(s) have chosen this issue. “This study was done because it was shown that__
  5. State at least three key points and use ONE quote to show how they support the ethical arguments. Remember to try and keep quotes at minimum and reword and EXPLAIN any terms that a patient may not understand.  Pretend your patient is ten years old.
  6. Find and quote from a DIFFERENT journal source that agrees OR disagrees with these findings.
  7. Are there other issues that are neglected in this paper? Can you find A CONTRASTING VIEW (even if you don’t agree) and summarize.

NOTE: Each part of answering this template should be one paragraph with AT LEAST one citation.

Sometimes finding cultural aspects of topics do not come naturally, and a quick google search with the key points of your topic and just the words “cultural aspects” and “scholarly articles” can get you started.
