Choose a discussion question that is particularly interesting to you, as well as the article.

Specific guidelines:

• Write a 1-2 page, double spaced reflection about the article. Summarize the main points, then discuss your thoughts and what you learned from it. Make sure to indicate which discussion question you chose, though you do not need to talk about the question in detail.
• Reference list. No assignment is complete without a reference list. Be sure to both cite your article within your reflection, and provide the citation at the end in the form of an APA reference.
• Be creative! Though you must still write in APA-style, this assignment is a less formal reflection of your learning. Find what interests you and tell me about it.

• Unfortunately, not every child who needs treatment receives it. What do you think are some barriers to receiving treatment? In other words, what are some of the obstacles getting in the way of families hoping to pursue treatment for their child? How can we fix that?

 

• One common dilemma faced by child psychologists is determining who the “client” is. Given that children are typically brought to treatment by their parents, how would you handle a child who confides in you some illicit behavior and asks you not to tell his or her parents?
