In the first article looks at the involvement of the KKK in San Diego from the roaring 20s to the era of Reagan in the 80s. For the second article, reflect on the legacy of the failure to ratify the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo towards Mexican-Americans and what connections to the first article can be seen with the influence of the KKK in the police department. In the third article, how are Las Pelonas countering the misogynists’ attitudes towards Latina/Hispanic women. The next article looks at how racist Jim Crow laws in the Southern US states also affected Mexican immigrants. The last article looks at the role of baseball in the Mexican-American community in Southern California.
