Write a summary of the article you have selected.
Your summary should be single-spaced, and at least one full page, but no more than two. Include the full reference for the article (title, author, journal, pages, date, etc – in your preferred format – MLA, APA, Chicago Style, etc), and then summarize the author’s arguments in your own words (no quotations, unless you are using short phrases six quoted words or less).
Even though this is a summary, it should be treated like an essay: make sure to include an introduction to your summary and a conclusion (the conclusion should include a scholarly critique—was the article well argued? Informative? A stretch?)
