Portfolio Plan
During the remainder of the course. you will conducting a series of assessments with a 3 or 4 year old child. You are not required to conduct these assessments in a classroom, although you can do that if you have access to a child in a classroom environment. In either case, you will need to have regular weekly access to this child and the ability to work one-on-one with them for short periods at a time. With these ideas in mind, consider how you will plan to approach the portfolio assessment assignments for ECH 365. Make sure to address the following (partially taken from the guidelines in your text):

Assignment Checklist:
Name, age, birthday, and gender of the child you have chosen.
Location where the assessments will take place.
How will you set up the time for assessment, get approval for the assessment from the child’s parents, and protect the anonymity of the child when summarizing and reporting your results?
How do you plan to familiarize yourself with the procedures for the assessments, and make sure you have everything ready?
How can you ensure the child will be comfortable with the environment, and how can you develop a rapport before starting your assessments?
How will you ensure efficient use of time, and how will you deal with signs of fatigue or disinterest from the child?
Will you need to make adaptations if the child has a disability?
Any other important factors to consider?
