To continue protecting our Cherokee citizens and as part of our ongoing effort to minimize COVID exposure we are offering an alternative to community service hours required for the Fall 2022 semester. Scholarship students can substitute community service by writing an essay over one of the three topics below:
The essay should be at minimum two (2) double–spaced pages in 12–point font with 1” margins.

2. The Legacy of former Principal Chief Wilma Mankiller
3. Negative Impacts of Boarding Schools for Native Americans
