Select a workplace issue that a manager might encounter that requires organizational behavior skills/knowledge to solve. You may use a real situation at work, a volunteer job, or another related situation, something from TV or a movie, or you may create a fictitious scenario. Think it through and have a summary prepared to discuss. The summary does not need to be written; just be prepared to have a productive conversation about what you want to do. I will provide feedback and once you feel you are on solid ground continue to the next step.
Write up the scenario. Be as detailed as possible (to the extent that it is relevant). This should be at least 2 pages long.
Analyze the situation/scenario. What are the major issues involved? What problem specifically needs to be solved? Think about all of the things we have discussed. For example, are there ethical issues? Is personality or culture involved?
What are the major theories or factors involved? Describe those. What’s going here from an organizational behavior perspective? Think back across all of the course content to determine what might apply to your scenario.
