Script for soliloquy
- Select a specific scene in the play in which to insert your soliloquy. Write a soliloquy from the perspective of this character. Clearly indicate where the soliloquy fits in the play (you can use stage directions to do this). In writing your soliloquy you should strive to incorporate the character’s mannerisms, and personal beliefs about himself. Your soliloquy can revise/re-write the story line of the play, but it should touch upon events in the story, and be faithful to your character’s personality. Make sure that changes are clear, if you chose to alter events (you can add to a line already in the play; be creative). This written script should be turned in (3 pages).
- In a separate paragraph titled: “Rationale for Changes” explain what the Soliloquy adds to the play (what you have changed and why).
- IMPORTANT- it’s supposed to be the character you did the character sketch on and you use the soliloquy to write what you think they would say, using their mannerisms and stuff that you noticed in the first assignment.
