THE MIDDLE AGES BAROQUE AND RENAISSANCE PERIODS

This is a group assignment. Your goal is to identify four (4) structures/settlements of the Early Christian, Byzantine, Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and/or Baroque eras. Each of your choices must come from a different era. Thereafter, you are required to anal, and redraw (to scale) these structures/settlements according to the following requirements (no CAD drawings are required, hand drawings only). The below are required to reflect the context, form and space of the chosen structures:

  1. SKETCHES AND SHORT DESCRIPTIONS THROUGH WHICH YOU SHOW YOUR ANALYSIS
  2. FLOOR PLANS (1:100)
  3. SECTIONS (tt100)
  4. ELEVATIONS (1:100)(2D and at least x130)
  5. SITE PLAN (1:200)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  1. Refer to Lecture 2 which sets out the SEC requirements and gives examples of what is expected of
  2. Submissions are to be in A3, landscape and pdf format. Approximately 4 or S pages.
  3. All submissions must be uploaded onto Blackboard and no emailed submissions wLI be accepted.
  4. Please make sure to reference your work, WI the while writing in your own words.
  5. As per Qatar University policy, all submissions must be put through Authenticate by the student and a plagiarism report is to be submitted with the assignment.
  6. Please make sure all graphics are clear, of good quality and are referenced (even if redrawn by yourself—see Lecture 2 for examples on how to do this).
