Locate 3 articles on obesity, the first should be on the basic science (e.g. laboratory research, including animal studies) that discusses the cause of obesity; the second on patient-oriented (clinical diagnosis and care for ill people) studies, and the third on population-level findings (epidemiology, or the distribution of the disease in large populations; health policy (if any).
  2. Compose. Write a 500-word essay in which you answer the question, “Why does the disease (obesity) persist in some populations? What are the unknowns in (a) the laboratory studies? (b) how to care for patients, and (c) why the disease (obesity) is distributed according to the existing pattern among different populations of different countries?
