In the tradition of research development, you’ll have several tasks to complete before you embark on your project.
* An statement of what you want to do for your final project. Identify a situation you want to explore (or a problem you want to solve).
* Why is your project necessary? Beyond being a class assignment.
* who are the intended constituents (audience) that will benefit from your work?
* Determine whether or not you will use human subjects as part of your project.
* What approach might you employ to collect information from human subjects?
* What previous work or similar projects can you find that will assist you in setting up the parameters of your project?
* provide at least two articles each that might help inform your own work. (Ultimately, this question will become the basis for your start of a review of the literature associated with your project.).
* identify any major theories that relate to your work–note relevant media effects theories we’ll examine in the textbook, chapters 14-16.(Ultimately, this question will become the basis for your start of a review of the literature associated with your project.).
* What do you expect to achieve during the time frame you have to complete your work?
