Uniquely American: How Culture Influenced Literary Works Throughout the American Renaissance

The research paper is to assess and analyze how one’s cultural identity affected/influenced American renaissance literature- and their authors. Cultural identities include sexuality, gender, religion, ethnicity, social class and/or geographical regions. Authors to focus on are Edgar Allen Poe, Harriet Beecher Stowe, Emily Dickinson, Fredrick Douglas, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, and John Greenleaf Whittier. In its essence, how do we acknowledge the representation of culture in America
