Quantifying human aspects of Project Management
Evaluate techniques from other fields of research such as human resource management.
Create a certain framework that can deal with quantifying human aspects and introducing them into theoretical project management problems.
The objective would be to make a sort of framework or something similar that could help convert real-life case studies into numbers. Currently, this is quite difficult because for a case study about multi-skilled project management there is information about activity details and the number of resources available. However, there is almost never data available of, among other things, what skills each resource can perform (categorical skills) and also how proficient they are at each skill (hierarchical skills). In the field of human resource management there are some standardised techniques available that can quantify aspects that deal with people.
In summary, the goal is to research the human resource management literature for existing techniques that might already quantify this kind of info. And otherwise, develop an own quantifying system.
