Marine tidal stream energy in the UK

There exists considerable marine tidal stream energy in the UK coastal waters. This project will investigate the resources, method and challenges in developing the tidal stream energy. This project will critically review the tidal stream energy in the UK coastal water.

(1) carry out critical review of the resources of tidal stream energy in the UK;

(2) discuss the method for developing the tidal stream energy, including the calculation of energy output of each tidal stream energy turbine by assuming the tidal stream velocity;

(3) discuss the main challenges in developing the tidal stream energy;
