Narratives are commonly used in elementary school social studies classrooms. Choose three or four types of narratives discussed in the chapter; describe the narrative and how you would use it in to teach social studies content.

Select a topic for a history that is appropriate for upper elementary students according to your state’s curriculum standards (or other appropriate guidelines). How are primary sources beneficial? Describe a) a specific primary source you might use for this topic;
b) how you would use that primary source; and
c) the types of follow up activities you would choose to use with that type of primary source.
