Create your own music, poetry, or spoken word in response to the BLM movement, racial protest, civil rights;

The purpose of this project is to analyze and examine music, poetry, spoken word in the context of BLM movement within a critical race theory and inter-sectional analysis.

1) Create your own music, poetry, or spoken word in response to the BLM movement, racial protest, civil rights;

2) explain how/why the music you have chosen “speaks” to you and the BLM movement; and

3) you can use only music, or spoken word, or poetry for your analysis or a combination of all three in your project. Your music, poetry, or spoken word can span any generation, decade, or genre. This project helps us understand how to incorporate non-traditional pedagogy or decolonizing approaches into teaching and learning more critically. It also helps us understand the role that artists played in the BLM movement.
