Analytical Essay
Franny Choi, Rigoberto Gonzalez and N.K. Jemisin offer their own analyses of “apocalypse” and what the “end of the world” entails. In Essay #1, compare or contrast how one of the poets (Choi or Gonzalez) presents the “end of the world” to Jemisin’s fictional or analytical consideration of the “end of the world.” The goal of Essay #1 is to synthesize the ideas among one of the poets and Jemisin to better understand the contribution of artists to debates about when the world ends and for whom the world ends.
