Quantitative Research Design
Review the introduction and summarize the factors that shape the relationship between race and health.
What sorts of things should researchers who are interested in studying this look for?
Based on the factors you described for task 1, create a list of at least ten different variables/measures researchers could use to explore this relationship.
Identify and describe at least six different variables the author used in the study. You will find these described in the “Data and Methods” section that starts on page 414 (PDF page 20). When you describe them, focus on explaining how they were measured.
Using the GSS Data Explorer, find six different variables from the 2018 GSS that could be used in a study exploring the relationship between race and health. Use the variables/measures from tasks 2 and 3 as your starting point for searching.
