To gain an understanding of
subjects’ experiences with the
therapeutic pillow and standard
of care following nephrectomy,
each subject was asked the fol-
lowing open and closed ques-
tions on POD1 and again on
POD2:
• Do you feel the splinting
device was effective in assist-
ing you to take a deep breath?
• Did the splinting device help
with pain control?
• Do you have any comments
about the splinting device?
• Would you recommend the
splinting device to other
patients that might undergo
this type of procedure?
