Choose either one of Smart’s seven dimensions of religion or one of the three questions that Gauguin uses to describe what life is in regards to religion, which somehow stands out to you in your own experience.
Describe a brief, concrete example of this aspect of religion in a scene or anecdote that demonstrates its impact on you and how this contributes to your understanding of religion. Keep in mind this does not need to be your personal “religious experience” but can simply be an experience of something you witnessed that made an impact on your understanding of religion in some way. You could write about an experience in a church, or something you read, something you saw or that happened in your own community.
Limit the essay in 500 words but no less than 300 words.
