Aim:
To establish the effectiveness of the use of Selenium and its derivatives as a protective agents in the prevention of prostate cancer.
Objectives
The objectives of this study are
– To investigate the role of selenium in preventing and treating prostate cancer by establishing the effectiveness of the use of Selenium in prostate cancer patients
– Access the safety and efficacy of the derivatives of selenium in preventing and treating prostate cancer.
– To review the current literature for the possible future treatments which can be considered for treating the disease.
Methodology
– The use of current scientific literature from PUBMED and google searches.
– Qualitative research method.
