3,000 words and least 30 References, Reflective Account and Personal Action Plan are not part of the 3000 words.

The summative essay requires students to critically reflect on a learning episode of care from the student’s practice relating to one of the themes from the NMC Code: Prioritise people; Practise effectively; Preserve safety; Promote professionalism and trust;
Uses supporting evidence from their portfolio (Reflective Account) and a one-page Action plan for the student’s first year as a Registered Nurse, based on the four themes from the NMC Code.
The student is required to attach/submit both the Reflective account and the Personal Action Plan along with their summative essay
Critically evaluate and analyse your own professional practice against the standards expected of a Registered Mental Health Nurse according to the NMC Code
Critically analyse and evaluate the knowledge, skills and competencies required for effective leadership, management and team working in nursing practice
Critically appraise and evaluate the political and professional influences on healthcare delivery and nursing practice. (The Political influences may include how staffing levels will impact on you in your career (leadership & management)), state of funding of mental health, some nurses from EU may not be easily able to work in UK as a result of Brexit and how that could impact on ward staffing and your ability to manage the ward, with evidences that some nurses have left for EU, for example.it may affect team working and the numbers of staff available.
Critically reflect upon the transition from student to Registered Mental Health Nurse and articulate the ongoing development required to deliver safe and effective care
Critically evaluate strategies to support your own continuing professional development. You could link the aspect of your action plan and you will develop
Try not to address each learning outcome in individual paragraphs but Interweave them in and out of each other through the essay.
